Low Carb Steak and Pastrami Bomb 🥩🧀

A cheesy, meaty, low-carb meal packed with juicy steak, smoky pastrami, and melted cheese inside a crispy baked shell. Perfect for keto lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 250g beef steak (thinly sliced)
  • 150g pastrami slices
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

For the Low-Carb Dough

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg

Extra

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Steak Filling

Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add onions and bell peppers. Cook for 3–4 minutes until soft.

Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.

Now add sliced steak, salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes. Cook for 5–6 minutes until the steak is nicely browned.

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.


Step 2: Add Pastrami and Cheese

Mix the cooked steak filling with chopped pastrami and shredded cheddar cheese.

Set aside.


Step 3: Make the Low-Carb Dough

In a microwave-safe bowl, add mozzarella cheese and cream cheese.

Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then microwave another 30 seconds until melted.

Add almond flour and 1 egg. Mix well until a soft dough forms.

If sticky, lightly oil your hands.


Step 4: Shape the Bomb

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Place parchment paper on a baking tray.

Flatten the dough into a rectangle or circle.

Add the steak and pastrami filling in the center.

Carefully fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges completely.

Shape into a large stuffed bomb or smaller rolls.


Step 5: Bake

Brush the top with beaten egg.

Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.

Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.


Step 6: Serve

Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serve hot with:

  • Sugar-free chili sauce
