Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for brushing)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup crumbled cheese (feta, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp black pepper or red chili flakes for extra flavor
    Instructions
    Prepare Dough – In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm milk and melted butter, then knead into a smooth, elastic dough. Cover and let it rise for 30–40 minutes until doubled in size.
    Prepare Filling – In a small bowl, combine crumbled cheese, chopped herbs, and optional seasonings.
    Shape Rolls – Punch down the dough and divide it into 8–10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rectangle, place filling in the center, and roll up or fold into a crescent shape. Pinch edges to seal.
    Egg Wash – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
    Bake – Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
    Cool & Serve – Let rolls cool slightly before serving warm.
