Ingredients

For the Chaffles

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

For the Filling

  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter

Step-by-Step Recipe

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

In a bowl, add:

  • Eggs
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Almond flour
  • Baking powder
  • Salt

Mix everything well until combined.


Step 2: Heat the Waffle Maker

Preheat your mini waffle maker and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.


Step 3: Cook the Chaffles

Add some batter into the waffle maker and cook for about 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy.

Repeat until all batter is used. You should get 2–4 chaffles depending on size.


Step 4: Make the Grilled Cheese

Heat a pan on medium heat and melt butter.

Place one chaffle in the pan, add cheddar cheese slices on top, then cover with another chaffle.

Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy and the cheese inside is melted.


Step 5: Serve

Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
