π« Chocolate Frosty
A thick, creamy, chocolatey frozen dessert with a smooth Frosty-style texture.
π₯€ Ingredients
Makes 2 servings
- 2 cups whole milk, very cold
- Β½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ΒΌ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- β cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1Β½ cups ice cubes
- β tsp salt
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup, optional
π©βπ³ Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Chill the ingredients
Make sure the milk and heavy cream are very cold. For an extra-thick Frosty, chill your serving glasses for 10β15 minutes.
Step 2: Add the ingredients
Add the cold milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to a high-speed blender.
Step 3: Blend the chocolate base
Blend for 30β45 seconds, until the cocoa powder and sugar are completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Step 4: Add the ice
Add the 1Β½ cups ice cubes. Add chocolate syrup now if you want a richer chocolate flavor.
Step 5: Blend until thick
Blend on high for 1β2 minutes. Stop once or twice to scrape the sides if needed. The mixture should become thick, creamy, and spoonable.
Step 6: Adjust the consistency
If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again. If it’s too thick for your blender, add 1β2 tablespoons milk.
Step 7: Taste
Add a little more cocoa or sugar if needed.
Step 8: Serve immediately
Pour into chilled glasses. The Frosty should be thick enough to enjoy with a spoon.
Step 9: Garnish
Top with whipped cream, a light dusting of cocoa powder, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
βοΈ Pro Tip
For the best Frosty texture, serve immediately after blending. Letting it sit too long will make it thinner as the ice melts.
